Bio

I’ve grown up on the West Coast and have spent many years hiking local mountains, exploring the coastal islands, beachcombing, and running through forests. Much of my work is based on love of the natural world and depicting various aspects of these landscapes.

Throughout my life I’ve also developed interests in fantasy, health, and fashion, working primarily with ceramics, watercolour, clothing design, and printmaking. Most recently, I am playing with these themes through making anthropomorphic sculptures combining humans and animals and clothing them with elements of the natural world.

I have two grown daughters and my husband and I live in Vancouver where I divide my time between making art and training older adults in fitness rehabilitation.
